Originally Chinatown was located in Limehouse, area in Docklands, and was more famous for its opium dens. It was destroyed by a bombing during the Blitz, World War II.
Chinatown today is located in the heart of London between Leicester Square and Soho; a buzzing part of London with both tourists and locals, as it covers a small number of streets.

There are a number of Chinese restaurants, souvenir shops, bakeries and supermarkets.
Chinese New Year appropriately is celebrated here yearly with all the shop windows decorated in red balloons and a number of events taking place over the celebratory week. It is equally here where you will find the Experimental Bar – one of London’s secret bars which is a fantastic intimate venue for original cocktails.
That is, if you can find it!
