Book about town - Benches
The National Literary Trust in partnership with Wild in Art have organized four art trails in the summer of 2014: Greenwich Trail, Bloomsbury Trail, City Trail and Riverside Trail where you can see benches in the shape of an open book.
They were decorated by local artists and illustrators then auctioned off in aid of The National Literary Trust, a charity that helps to raise literacy levels in the UK. They have a wonderfully presented website with the details of all the books that served as inspiration to the artists.
