The Year of the Monkey was loud and colorful. Decorations, dragons, London parade and dancing took over Chinatown for one of the best London events on the 14th of February 2016. The Chinese New Year is on Mon Feb 8 2016 with the main London parade taking place on Sun Feb 14 2016.
The Chinese New Year is also celebrated in Chiswick House and Garden by the UK's first Chinese Lantern festival: performances, art, light installations, 50 giant hand-sculpted lanterns, 66 metre-long dragon stretched out across the edge of the lake, life-sized flamingos, zebras, kangaroos, elephants. All this light installations were in the Animal Kingdom and the Enchanted Forest boasting ginormous glowing mushrooms, plants and flowers.
